RPM Music

If you are looking for a CD of favorite hymns to sit back and listen to – this CD is NOT for you. There are hundreds of Great recordings of hymns with fabulous instrumentalists and vocalists that are a Blessing just to listen to. But, many are so good and sing so high most of us can’t sing-a-long.

There are times to listen – and there are times to sing.

This CD was recorded for one purpose only – to help YOU Sing-A-Long. The piano, organ, and men’s voices give you all four parts with an emphasis on the melody and bass. The pianist and organist (both my wife) doesn’t add in a lot of extra notes. Her goal was to give you ONLY the notes you need to sing. It doesn’t sound like Mitch Miller – but, it was recorded in his style – we lowered the key, and use only men singers. That was the secret for Mitch Miller and I think you will find it makes the hymns much easier to sing – especially as we get older.  One way we all can participate in Worship is by Singing. We hope churches will include one of these songs each week when they make copies of their sermons. That way the listener can participate in the Worship Service. These songs are cleared and there is no royalty to pay. Churches, small groups, rest homes, hospitals, missionaries, funeral homes, any group – may use these recordings to help in Worship and Praise without concern about royalties.

If you are going to use the recordings for a small church or group, please download the song book from this web site. It is free. Then you can make as many copies as you want on your copier.

For larger orders, retail sales, or to use these CDs in raising money for your ministry, please call or write us.

Thank you for your order and we pray that the recording will bring many hours of Joy to you and Peace to your heart as your sing your Praises unto Him.

Recent medical research has proven that listening to quiet, slow music is the best way to fall to sleep. It works better than medicine and there are no side effects.

The research, which was reported recently in the Journal of Advanced Nursing said, “Those who listened to a selection of soft, slow music experienced physical changes that aided restful sleep.” The researcher had a name for the kind of music: Sedative music. They said the music will actually cause physical changes in your body, such as lowering your heart and respiratory rates – that will lead to a good nights sleep. They also found out that the tested patients suffered less dysfunction during the day since they had slept better the night before. And best of all, there are no side effects, as there often is with pricey prescription medicine.RPM Music is arranging and recording 35 hymns especially chosen to help the listener fall asleep. It will be available on CD or tape cassette.

The recording, titled Hymns to Dreamland features the soft touch piano playing of Mrs. Peggy Williams with a quiet organ, violin, flute, and other instruments. The entire recording has an even volume so it will not wake you after you’ve fallen asleep. This makes it good for listening while meditating or reading the Bible.

A real advantage of going to sleep listening to hymns is that it focuses your mind while you fall asleep not on the problems of the day and the aches of the body but upon God and His Grace. Colossians 3:2; Philippians 4:8
